Nitrogen Gas used in Chemical & Plastic Industries22.pngNitrogen as inert gas is widely used in the processing, production, storage and transportation of chemical products. Especially in chemical industry, chemical fertilizer industry, petrochemical and petrochemical fiber industry, plastics, there is great demands on nitrogen.

 

Nitrogen is used in chemical industry for prevention of fire, moisture and oxidation. It is widely used in chemical transportation, chemical production process materials and catalyst protection, nitrogen sealing of chemical product packaging, chemical pipeline and container cleaning etc. Common chemicals usually require nitrogen including polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polyester, aniline, ethanol, and other organic products, even some flammable and easily oxidizable inorganic substances, e.g. sodium metal. Many plastic products are made by injection molding. Nitrogen is introduced into the forming and cooling process of plastic parts, and the deformation caused by pressure on plastic parts is reduced by using the inertia protection of nitrogen, so as to obtain stable and accurate dimensions of plastic parts. In order to improve the quality of injection molding products and the flexibility of design, plastic manufacturers usually use nitrogen injection molding. As per different process conditions, the purity of nitrogen required for plastic injection molding is different. If using bottle nitrogen, it needsfrequent bottle switchover and complicated operations. So the best choice is to use CanGas® onsite PSA nitrogen generator to supply nitrogen directly.
