What is the air-to-nitrogen ratio in the PSA nitrogen generation system?
Return

In the PSA nitrogen generator, there is a concept to measure the efficiency of the equipment called "air-to-nitrogen ratio". It refers to the ratio of the dry compressed air volume consumed by the nitrogen generator to the product nitrogen volume. Assuming that the "air-to-nitrogen ratio" is 3.5, it means that every 3.5 Nm3 of air can produce 1 Nm3 of nitrogen.

The high-quality performance molecular sieve used allows the PSA nitrogen generator to have an extremely low air-to-nitrogen ratio, which can effectively improve nitrogen production efficiency and reduce customer costs.

Of course, the "air-to-nitrogen ratio" of different nitrogen manufacturers will be different. However, as the operation time of the equipment accumulates, the "air-to-nitrogen ratio" will gradually increase.

In addition to molecular sieve performance, there are several factors that will also affect the air-to-nitrogen ratio of the nitrogen generator. They are as follows:

(1) Nitrogen purity; In general, the higher the purity, the higher the air-nitrogen ratio.

(2) Adsorption pressure and cycle;

(3) PSA adsorption process design

(4) Ambient temperature

Better-quality nitrogen generators will take into account the above four points and provide users with higher economic benefits.
