CAN GAS Provides Field Oxygen Supply Stations for Remote Region of Tibet After Deadly Earthquake
Return

On January 7, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Dingri County, Shigatse City, Xizang; The earthquake caused huge casualties and property damage to Dingri County.

Emergency services and the Chinese military have mounted a massive rescue effort, freeing more than 400 people trapped under rubble. Over 30,000 residents have been relocated as rescuers continue their search for survivors. However, the high altitude of 4,000 meters and the lack of oxygen in the environment pose significant challenges to the rescue work, making it slow and dangerous.

To address this issue, the Tibet Military Region has deployed several sets of field oxygen supply stations provided by CAN GAS. These stations are crucial for soldiers and local residents to breathe oxygen, greatly alleviating their discomfort and enabling the rescue work to proceed more efficiently.
