What factors will cause the PSA oxygen generator to produce less than the standard gas output?
Return

As a mechanical device, the PSA oxygen generator may produce less than the standard oxygen output due to non-human factors during long-term wear and tear. In this case, there is no need to worry too much. As long as you check the following points in sequence, it can generally be solved quickly.

1. Insufficient raw air volume. The causes may be:

    1.1. The ambient temperature is too high; the atmospheric pressure is too low;

    1.2. The air compressor filter is blocked; the normal replacement cycle is exceeded;

    1.3. The voltage is too low or the grid frequency is reduced, causing the air compressor speed to decrease;

    1.4. Check whether the air compressor has other operating faults

2. There is leakage or blockage in the oxygen production system pipeline

    2.1. Apply soapy water to the pipeline weld for leak detection test to confirm whether there is leakage in the pipeline and the degree of leakage.

    2.2. Check whether the automatic valve or switching valve is damaged, and replace the new valve and valve pad.

    2.3. Check whether the flow meter is faulty

    2.4. Check whether the pressure drop of the pipeline is too large and there is a blockage problem.

    2.5. Check if the output pressure regulating valve is faulty.

In general, the daily maintenance and care of the PSA oxygen generator is still very important. It can solve most of the hidden troubles or prevent small problems from becoming big problems. Of course, our maintenance personnel should also deepen their understanding of the equipment so that they can quickly identify the cause of the fault and prevent and solve the problem quickly and effectively.
