At present, nitrogen can be obtained by self-production and purchase. For long-term nitrogen demand, self-production will be more economical and convenient; but in some aspects, it is necessary to obtain the corresponding license to use it safely and compliantly. First, it is necessary to prepare environmental impact assessment, safety assessment, fire protection, safety, etc. (generally, it is reported together with the main project). Before the equipment is put into production, the approval inspection and filing of pressure vessels and pipelines shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant national pressure vessel and pressure pipeline standards.
For the filing and inspection of pressure vessels, many people think that the adsorption tower is a pressure vessel, so the use of PSA nitrogen generators requires a pressure vessel production license; in fact, it is not necessarily the case. Only when the design pressure, design temperature and structure of the container meet the relevant standard requirements can it be considered a pressure vessel. Normally, not all nitrogen production system adsorption towers are pressure vessels; therefore, the need for a pressure vessel production license should be determined based on the situation. If it is a pressure vessel, it must be produced by a manufacturer with a production license, including the design of the pressure vessel, which also requires a design license.
The installation of pressure vessels and pressure pipelines must also be installed by manufacturers and professionals with corresponding qualifications. After passing the inspection of the local quality inspection department, they can be put into use after obtaining a use license. The use license is applied for by the user unit, and the equipment management personnel must be trained and qualified before the pressure vessel use license is issued.
In addition, nitrogen production equipment requires specific certification licenses in different industries or fields. For example;
1. When the coal mining industry uses PSA nitrogen production equipment, it is necessary to have coal mine safety certification in order to curb the entry of counterfeit and inferior products into the mine;
2. When using PSA nitrogen generators in explosion-proof areas, an explosion-proof certificate is required, and the explosion-proof certificate is valid for 5 years;
3. If PSA nitrogen production equipment is used for mining operations at sea, it is required to have a classification society certification;
4. When nitrogen is used for food preservation, the nitrogen here will be regarded as a food additive. Enterprises must obtain a food additive production license before they can produce nitrogen for food preservation. The purity of nitrogen should be above 99.9%.
