2. Maintain pressure

Nitrogen is a standard gas used to re-pressurize oil and gas from large wells/natural gas reservoirs. It can use its own characteristics to maintain oil layer pressure.

3. Storage gas

According to the characteristics of inert gas, nitrogen is used to establish an inert atmosphere for the processing, storage and transfer of flammable materials.

4. Purging of pipelines and equipment

Nitrogen can be used to perform air pressure leak detection and purge the oil and gas pipelines. If the oil and gas transmission pipeline needs to be repaired, it is necessary to purge the pipeline with nitrogen at a certain pressure and flow rate according to the actual situation of the pipeline. There may be some flammable and explosive gases to ensure safety.

5. Fire and explosion prevention

For the fire hazard area in oil and gas production, a certain flow of nitrogen can be injected into the area to quickly reduce the oxygen content in the area to below 5%, so as to achieve the purpose of fire prevention and explosion prevention. In addition, the residual air on the top of the oil and gas storage tank is one of the main causes of oil tank fire and explosion. Filling the oil tank with nitrogen can solve this safety hazard, and this method is also used for other liquid storage tanks.

In fact, no matter what kind of production, including oil and gas operations, the most important thing is to ensure the safety of production; and the use of nitrogen in oil and gas production can not only increase efficiency, but also improve the safety factors of various productions.
